New Zealand Health Outreach
The New Zealand Field held public health presentations followed by cooking demonstrations on the 4th and 7th of October. The theme was “Spring into Health” “The Vegetarian Way.” Brother Alasdair Pow presented on three subjects, “Beating Heart Disease”, “Overcoming Obesity” and “Superfoods for Fighting Cancer.” Colourful flyers were distributed in the surrounding suburbs of the hall that we hired and in the local paper. In Memory of Sister Alma Wooden
Alma Ida Esmeralda Wooden (nee Hughes) was laid to rest on Monday, 10 September, 2012 at the Wagga Wagga Monumental Cemetery after a service at the SDA Church in Wagga Wagga. Alma had two sisters (Merle, Gladys) and two brothers (Jack, Bill) one being her twin – Bill. The family recalled the happy times together at the home farm whilst growing up. Remembering the Life of Sister Agnes Helen Haynes
It was a warm sunny day on Wednesday, September 12, when our dear friend and sister in Christ, Agnes Helen Haynes was laid to rest until the resurrection morning. Many relatives and friends gathered for the 10:00am funeral service at the Castlebrook Memorial Park chapel, where her life was lovingly remembered. Vanuatu Mission News
On the 14th of September, Br Andrew Pakoasongi reported that the Vanuatu Mission Field had just completed a week of public meetings combined with a youth camp. The turnout to the meetings was very good, and six interested souls are now undergoing further Bible studies. Plans are in place to conduct a Leadership Seminar next month on one of Vanuatu's islands called Epi. The Vanuatu brethren are also planning to hold a Youth Camp Meeting on the island of Malekula…
WA Field Conference: Revive Us Again
The biennial WA Field Conference was held on the weekend of September 13-16. Our theme was “Revive Us Again,” on the subject of Revival & Reformation. God provided perfect weather for us throughout the conference and it was a delight to meet again at the conference campgrounds. Guildford Church Media Ministry in Western Australia has setup a new media website for hosting sermon videos and other Christian media content. The media website is named after the ministry’s name, ‘RainDrops’. You can check it out at http://raindrops.sdarm.org.au.
