Baptisms in Victoria

Greetings from all the Brethren in the Victorian Field with Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” We were all richly blessed to witness the covenant of 4 souls on two different occasions in the Victorian Field. The first two souls,…

Queensland Baptisms

After a week of rain and tropical thunderstorms, the Lord provided a peaceful and sunny morning on Sunday 12th December, 2004. Members and family came together on the banks of the Pine River at Petrie, Queensland, among the natural surroundings and in the sight of God, to witness the baptism of four souls, Bro Roland Lacey, Sr Jan Lacey, Bro Ernie Kimber and Bro David Van der Wall. It was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.…

Western Australia Field Conference

For all who attended the Western Australian Field Conference held during the long weekend in September, I am sure it was an incredible blessing. The Conference began on Friday night with Br. Southwell giving the first study on the theme of the Conference, which was "Onward Ever Onward". The song he picked for the last hymn was, very appropriately, "Onward Christian Soldiers." This was the song the choir was already planning to present for the study but was unfortunately…

Queensland Field Spiritual Conference

"Reflecting Christ" was the theme for the Queensland Field Spiritual Conference. The venue was Kenilworth, which is approximately 2 hours North of Brisbane. Church members and visitors from New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland arrived at our camp location to sing, study, learn, pray and fellowship. The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather which I am sure we all appreciated. It was a joy to see so many young children at the camp and one of the Sisters commented…

PNG Mission Field Report

Hello brethren, sisters and young people. I thank the Father for His infinite mercy for giving us an opportunity to become His sons and daughters through Christ’s sacrifice and by accepting the robe of righteousness. We held our PNG Spiritual Conference and Delegation Session between, 10 – 16 September 2002. Attendees at the Spiritual Conference comprised not only SDA Reformers but visitors from various other religious bodies. The meetings were held at Suruganam in Bogia District, situated around 400…

New Zealand Field Conference News

Between the dates, May 31 and June 3, we held our Field Spiritual Convention and Field Delegation Session. The Conference Theme was "In the Spirit and Power". The venue was Camp Morley, set amongst farmland on the southern shores of the Manukau Harbour. It was very picturesque. The weather remained fine for most of the weekend with little rain. The middle of winter is never very warm, but our hearts were warmed as approximately 35 members and visitors gathered…

New South Wales Field Conference

We rose early on Friday morning, July 7, 2002 and travelled by car towards Sydney, looking forward to a spiritually refreshing time together with more members of our church family. After arriving in the mid-afternoon at the Elim Heights Youth Camp, we found the camp nice and green. The results of the fire five months earlier could be seen in the blackened trees and cleared bush. We met many hard-working people who were preparing for the camp. We really…

New Zealand Field News

On the 19 February 2002, five members left Auckland in a rented van enroute to Nelson in the South Island, to share in the baptism of three souls.  One candidate was picked-up from Tirau on the way south.  The following day, we travelled on the vehicular ferry across Cook Straight and through the picturesque Marlborough Sounds to Picton.  It was then just a short drive of 2 hours to Nelson. Others were able to share the joy of seeing three dear souls…

Victorian/Tasmanian Field News

We would just like to praise the Lord for the time He has given us each one to work for Him. The last few months have been busy and rewarding in this corner of the vineyard. Both old and young among our members and friends from Keilor Park Church and Shepparton Group have been involved in the missionary work. We all realise the end is near and the message of Christ’s soon coming needs to go to the world.…

New South Wales Field Missionary Report

Dear Friends, Greetings with “Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength…”  Isaiah 45:24 The Lord’s work here in NSW is progressing steadily and it often seems that there are not enough hours in a day or days in a week to accomplish the tasks and needs that arise in this field.  The Lord has greatly blessed and interest is continually arising from unexpected places and from a variety of sources. Our field missionary leader, Br. John…

Fire at Elim Heights

January 4, 2002 Elim Heights, Mellong, NSW—Bush fires raged causing moderate damage as 24 people were evacuated from the church’s Elim Heights Youth Camp on Thursday, January 3. The approaching blaze interrupted a worker’s meeting and summer school in progress at the camp, located near Sydney, Australia. A week earlier, area roads had closed and reopened intermittently, causing inconvenience to those traveling to and from the Australasian Union Youth Convention, held at the same location from December 24 to 29.…
