Sister Elaine Weymark has Fallen Asleep in Jesus

Dear Church Family, last night, Monday, 6 October 2025, we received the sad news that our dear Sister Elaine Weymark went to sleep in Jesus. She passed away as the oldest member of one of our pioneering families here in Australia, and the dearly beloved wife of Brother Harry Weymark, one of our first graduates from Hebron Missionary College and one of the first of our ordained ministers in Australia.

Those who knew Sister Weymark would agree that she made an incredible contribution to the life and legacy of our church family over many, many years, in both Australia and New Zealand. The love she embodied for the Lord, His people and her family, is the kind that never failed. Her vision and indomitable spirit was a force that not only shaped our church here in Australia, but built a legacy that continues to touch the lives of many. From Hebron College and Elim Health Centres to the Elim Store, Elim Heights Youth Camp, and everything else in between, our dear Sister Weymark will never be forgotten.

We pray that the unwavering commitment and self-sacrifice she brought to the Lord’s cause will continue to be an inspiration to all of us, an example worth following. Of her, it can surely be written, “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them.” Though she will be greatly missed, we look forward to the day when, if faithful, we shall meet her again at the resurrection morn.

Funeral Details will be posted in due course.
